PROCESS OF ACQUIRING FRENCH RESIDENCY — PASSEPORT TALENT

1 Applying to La French Tech

The registration of a residence permit in France involves obtaining an invitation letter from La French Tech and submitting documents for French Tech Visa. The company's lawyers will help you to correctly fill in the application and send a request for an invitation to the French startup organization. The decision will be made within 3-4 weeks. Once the application is approved, you should obtain permission to enter France. You can apply for a visa at a France consulate in your country of residence. Along with the standard visa application form, you should submit:

  • an invitation letter from La French Tech;
  • a cheque for the payment of a visa fee of €99 EUR;
  • confirmation of sufficient funds - more than €2500 EUR;
  • marriage or childbirth certificates in case of family application.

2 Preparing set of documents for a residence permit

Visa is usually issued in 3-5 working days. During this period, the company's specialists will help you prepare and translate into French the package of documents for the issuance of residence permits provided by the program. The payment for translation services will be €50 EUR. You will need the following documents:

  • a foreign passport with a D Type visa stamped in it;
  • two completed application forms;
  • certificate of birth;
  • 3 photographs of size 3.5 x 4.5 cm;
  • invitation letter from La French Tech;
  • receipts for the payment of a residence permit card fee;
  • confirmation of owned or rented accommodation on French territory.

When applying with family, the following documents are required:

  • Certificate of marriage;
  • Certificate of birth for spouse and/or children;
  • Certificate of adoption.

3 Submitting documents to the prefecture for a residence permit - Passeport Talent

The prepared set of documents for registration of the resident status can be submitted to the prefecture, administrative institution of the government, directly on the territory of the state. The documents must be registered in person by appointment, arranged for you by International Holdings lawyers.

4 Receiving a French residence permit card

Once your residence permit application has been accepted by the prefecture, you will be issued with a "récépissé " and " L'autorisation provisoire ", a temporary residence permit that allows you to live and work in France and to move freely within the European Union. The plastic residence card is issued within 1-2 months from the date of application. The document costs €269 EUR and is provided for a period of 4 years with the possibility of further extension and the right to acquire French permanent residence or citizenship after 5 years of residency in the country.
