with a Montenegrin passport
The investment program came into force on January 1, 2019 and sets a quota for 2,000 investors who will be able to acquire Montenegrin passport by investment in 3 years. Montenegro recognizes dual citizenship and allows participants of the investment program to keep valid existing passports. Montenegrin passport is issued for a period of 5 years and can be extended upon expiration. To participate in the program, investor has to be over the age of 18, have clean criminal record, comply with medical requirements, provide proof of funds availability and legal source of income, and meet requirements of the investment project. Also, each applicant should be registered in the Central Registry of Business Entities of Montenegro and pay all taxes and fees one month prior to submitting application. The spouse and financially dependent children under the age of 18 may acquire passports together with the main investor.
Financing the state development project in the capital and southern regions
Option involves a minimum investment of € 450,000. To obtain a passport, you need to create more than 20 jobs within 3 years from the date of investment.
Financing the state development project in the central and northern regions
The minimum investment amount is € 250,000. The territory of the capital city is excluded from the investment program. Creation of more than 10 jobs within 3 years from the date of investment is a requirement.
